Meet our secretary: Stephanie

I have been involved in many community based not-for-profit organizations in the community of Regina spanning over 15 years, and I’m honoured to assist in developing Twinkle Star as a new non-profit offering services to families in their pregnancy loss journeys. I am a social worker by profession and hold a Master’s Degree specialized in women’s issues. I love working with women, youth, and children in my career and volunteer life. I was especially challenged to continue my work in these areas in 2015 when, after an earlier miscarriage in 2009, my eight month pregnancy came to an unexpected end with the loss of my and my new partner’s daughter Araya. Since that time, I have made a full recovery in public life and recently accepted a new and challenging position as the Executive Director of a well known community-based organization in the community that offers services to women and children. I married my partner in May 2017, and my husband and I are expanding our careers in challenging roles with similar populations in the Human Services,  while continuing to work toward our dream of a family of our own.
