Izzy Bears

 

On August 4, 2018, Izabelle Simard was born still to her parents, Kathy and Denis. Our Izzy Bears, named after baby Izabelle, is a weighted teddy bear project designed to help families through the grieving process after losing a baby before or shortly after birth.  Created out of love and grief by Izabelle’s parents, Izzy Bears looks to provide comfort to families facing perinatal loss. Each bear is specially weighted to match the birth weight of the lost baby. They can be further personalized with names, colours and/or decorations to further memorialize the baby. The bears are hand-stuffed to ensure their high quality and individually customized to ensure their precision to families’ wishes.

Izzy Bears are available for purchase; however, this is solely to cover the cost of the materials and the Twinkle Star Project does not make a profit when a bear is ordered unless a donation is added at the time of purchase. All donations are used to continue to fund our, and other, community support services. If the cost is prohibitive and you would like to receive a bear, we urge you to reach out to us directly.
