Silent Hearts Walk
The Silent Hearts Walk is the Twinkle Star Project’s annual fundraising event and a powerful day of remembrance, connection, and support.
This meaningful gathering not only raises critical awareness around perinatal loss, but also helps fund the free and low-cost services we provide to families navigating the grief of baby loss.
Funds raised through the Silent Hearts Walk support programs such as:
-
Together in Healing Women’s Retreat at Arlington Beach
-
Peer-to-Peer Online Support Service
-
The Basket Project, offering hand-knit and crocheted baskets to grieving families
-
Peer Group Programs in partnership with Prairie Heart Counselling
-
Free support resources available through our online store
This year’s walk will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth II West Lawn.
Event Schedule
-
11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. | Check-in, Memorial Flags & Lawn Games
Participants are invited to check in, visit the memorial flag display, connect with others, and enjoy lawn games in a welcoming community atmosphere.
-
12:50 p.m. | Welcome Speech
We will gather for opening remarks, a moment of remembrance, and words of support and encouragement before the walk begins.
-
1:00 p.m. (approximately) | Silent Hearts Walk Begins
Following the welcome speech, participants will walk together in honour of babies gone too soon and the families who carry them in their hearts.
-
2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Community BBQ
After the walk, everyone is invited to stay for a community BBQ. This time together is an opportunity to connect, share support, and continue building a compassionate community of remembrance and healing.
Butterfly Markers
A beloved tradition of the Silent Hearts Walk is the Butterfly Marker Tribute. Each butterfly, bearing the name or nickname of a baby gone too soon, will line our walking path in a beautiful display of love, remembrance, and honour for the little lives that touched our hearts so deeply.
Together, we walk in memory, in support, and in hope, reminding grieving families that they are not alone.
Registration & Fundraising
Whether you plan to walk with us in person or support from afar, there are several ways to get involved in this year's Silent Hearts Walk.
Walk Registration & Team Fundraising
Register to attend the Silent Hearts Walk, create a fundraising team, or join an existing team to help raise awareness and funds in memory of babies gone too soon.
Fundraise From Anywhere
Can't attend the walk in person? You can still make a meaningful impact by creating an individual fundraising campaign and supporting grieving families from wherever you are.
Every registration, donation, and fundraising effort helps Twinkle Star Project continue providing compassionate support, resources, and programs for families navigating pregnancy and infant loss.
