Bridget’s Bunnies is a nonprofit organization based in Barrie, Ontario, dedicated to ensuring that no one has to endure pregnancy or infant loss alone. Founded in memory of Bridget Bell Morrison, the organization was created by her parents, Theresa and Mat, after the stillbirth of their daughter just one day before her due date in 2017.

In the early days of their grief, Theresa and Mat experienced the isolation that many families feel after losing a baby. After attending a peer support group and connecting with other bereaved parents, they recognized the importance of community and compassionate support. Bridget’s Bunnies was created to reach families early in their grief, validate their experiences, and honour the babies who are deeply loved and missed.

Through initiatives like Comfort Kits and Little Loss Libraries, Bridget’s Bunnies provides accessible grief resources to families navigating pregnancy and infant loss. Comfort Kits help support individuals through the early days of grief, while Little Loss Libraries offer discreet access to books and resources throughout the Simcoe Muskoka region. All supports are provided at no cost thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community fundraisers.

Pacific Perinatal Foundation is a nonprofit organization based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, dedicated to supporting individuals and families who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss.

The foundation’s roots trace back to 2015 when Charlene Chambers founded the Healing Hearts Foundation, Vancouver Island’s first charitable organization focused on supporting those affected by pregnancy and infant loss. Charlene created the organization after the loss of her daughter, Faith Tien, and worked tirelessly to build a compassionate community and resources for grieving families while helping break the stigma surrounding pregnancy and infant loss.

Following Charlene’s unexpected passing in 2020, a dedicated group of volunteers continued the work of Healing Hearts Foundation by offering peer support and advocacy during the challenging pandemic years. In 2022, the organization partnered with the clinical team at Full Circle Perinatal Care to create the Pacific Perinatal Foundation, expanding the vision of collaborative and compassionate care.

Today, Pacific Perinatal Foundation provides integrated support that brings together community volunteers and healthcare professionals including midwives, perinatal physicians, social workers, counsellors, and other wellness practitioners. Their programs aim to support the emotional, psychological, and physical healing of individuals experiencing reproductive trauma while strengthening community connection and care.
